Volunteering at Watford Women's
At Watford Women's Centre plus, volunteering is about giving your time to a good cause. You don't get paid, but you do get the chance to develop new skills, gain confidence, use your talents and meet new people.
At the Women's centre we run a Career Investment Project which is a new initiative funded by the National Lottery to support women back into employment and/or training. It is run alongside your volunteering opportunity and consists of workshops on subjects like confidentiality, boundaries, and team work and one to one support.
Without our volunteers we would not be able to help the amount of people we do and we really appreciate the time and support our volunteers give us. We have many different types of roles at WWCP from supporting our advisors in the Job Club, to volunteering as a teaching assistant to helping us keep the premises clean.
All our volunteers have an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check due to the nature of the charity we are. For more information on DBS please check the disclosure barring service page on the Gov.UK site.
