Courses we offer...
We aim to provide a friendly, welcoming, space to encourage all to access our courses. Some of our courses are are open to women only but men can access some of our courses at Market Street and the Wellspring Comunity Centre, where we also hold regular courses. Many of our courses and workshops are offered at a low cost administration fee, typically less than £15.00 as they are funded by Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Service (HAFLS). A deposit is also required which is returned after completing the course.
Each course usually runs for between five and 30 weeks. We have three 10 week terms which follow the standard academic year, with courses starting in late September, January and April/May time. The Centre also runs a termly programme of leisure activities, courses, workshops and groups.
Courses and activities can change from term to term, so please visit the specific course page on our website, pop in for a chat or phone our offices on 01923 816229 for details of dates, times, costs and waiting list for each course.
If there is a course you would like to see the Centre provide, please let us know, so we can organise a course if there is sufficient demand.
Our weekend workshops cover a range of subjects, including bead jewellery making, life coaching, assertiveness and anger management. Please see the Weekend workshop page for details.
Personal Development and Learning
We also have a range of courses in personal development that bolster self esteem and confidence.
- We offer a programme of classes for women where English is not their first language.
